I have decided to "write out" some of the comments and articles written by distinguished Writers and Journalists, about SIMBARI, (that I have on file) over the last 50 years . . . they are amazing !
Perhaps this
is the first time I
have really read them, in many, many
years !!
I hope that you will “find” the real
man and Artist
waiting “in the
wings” of his “Play” - - -
why “play” ? . . . his ‘joie de vivre’ about LIFE, his sense of humour,
and most of all, his total “professionalism” and dedication to HIS ART (which has been HIS LIFE)
. . . NOTHING (but nothing!)
else mattered - - -
I ‘joined’ his PLAY (a theatrical production in the making!) in 1957 .
. . after all I was an “actress” and this was a great “entrance” onto
the World Stage !!!!!
I have never been ‘disappointed’ in the
part I elected to play !! . . .
until now - -
SIMBARI seems to have slipped off the “Art Radar” . . . perhaps it is because his exciting works, fabulous colour, and ‘everyday’ subjects do not NEED explanation - - - THEY ARE ! Touching the hearts and minds of “Everyman” !! (this has been confirmed to me, even now, from the many e-mails and letters I have received, since starting this page on the Web)
I hope you will agree that he is an Artist of NOTE, of our Time . . . and more
